1. Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) 2 Years<\/p>\n
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) \/B.Sc.(Computer Science)\/ B.Sc. (IT)\/ BA(Computer Science)\/ BA (IT) OR any Graduate with 20-24 credits in the subjects of computer OR any graduate with minimum of 6 courses of computer studied in graduation (in case of degree not in credit system) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC\/ST) from a university established by law in India.<\/p>\n
Age Limit<\/p>\n
Maximum age limit for admission to MCA course is 26 years for general category, 29 years for SC\/ST category and 28 years for girl candidates, as on the1 st July of the year concerned. The Vice-Chancellor may permit age relaxation up to a maximum of six months.<\/p>\n
Basis of Admission
\nThe admission to MCA course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Examination (written test) conducted by H.P. University.<\/p>\n
2. Master of Technology (M. Tech.)<\/p>\n
M.Tech. is a full time regular course of study pursued by regular attendance in classes and seminars. Candidates, who have passed Master degree with minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC\/ST category), or equivalent Grade point, in Mathematics\/ Physics\/ Electronics\/ Computer Application (MCA)\/ Computer Science\/ Information Technology\/ 4-years Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering\/ Technology. OR Any examination, of university in foreign country, recognized as equivalent for the above purpose by equivalence committee of its own or on recommendation of Association of Indian Universities with 55% marks (50% marks for SC\/ST).<\/p>\n
The admission to M. Tech. (Computer Science) will be through the merit of an entrance test.<\/p>\n
The Candidates who have qualified GATE\/ NET\/ SLET in Computer Science or Engineering will be given 20% extra of the marks obtained in the entrance test for calculating the merit for the purpose of admission. Minimum pass marks in the entrance test shall be 35%.<\/p>\n
3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)<\/p>\n
Ph.D. is a full time regular course of study pursued by regular attendance in classes and seminars. A candidate seeking admission to the Ph. D. course must have at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC\/ST) in the subject concerned at Master’s level. The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for admission shall be 50%.
