\n\t\tAdmission shall be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Test and past academic record as under :-<\/p>\n

\n\t\tSr. No. Modalities Maximum Marks <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n\t\t\t    Written Entrance Test 100<\/li>\n
  2. \n\t\t\t    Weightage of graduation examination 10<\/li>\n
  3. \n\t\t\t    Weightage of +2 Examinations or equivalent examinaions 10<\/li>\n
  4. \n\t\t\t    Weightage of High School \/ Matric Examinations. 10<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\t\t             TOTAL MARKS :                                                                                           130<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n\t\tThe minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 35%. In case of SC\/ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks shall be reduced until the full SC\/ST quota for admission has been exhausted.<\/p>\n

    \n\t\tA candidate seeking admission to the course should not have completed the age of 26 years in case of boys, 28 years in case of girls and 29 years in case of SC\/ST (both for boys and girls) as on July 1, of concerned year<\/p>\n

    \n\t\tThe tuition fee shall not be charged from the girl students who have passed their qualifying examination from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, H.P. Krishi Visva Vidyalaya, Palampur or Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, H.P.<\/p>\n

    \n\t\tThe promotion \/ continuation to next semester shall be subject to the provisions of Act, Statutes, Ordinances and rules and regulations of the University.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n

    \n\t\tThe Faculty of Law offers Ph. D. Programme which is spread over two to three years.  The basic requirements for seeking admissions to this course is LL.M. Degree with 55% marks and a plus B career as per UGC norms. The basic thrust is on inter-disciplinary approach. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n\tEligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n\t1. Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n\tBachelors Degree of any faculty of University established by law in India with at least 45% marks. In case of SC\/ ST candidates the eligibility percentage shall be lowered by 5%.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n\tBasis of Admission <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n\t2. Master of Laws (L.L.M.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n\tAdmissions shall be made strictly on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Test provided he \/ she obtains at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test (45% marks for SC\/ST candidates). This is a two year programme of regular study.  Under the newly approved UGC syllabus which is spread over four semesters, a candidate has to study two subjects which are compulsory in every semester i.e. from 1st to IIIrd and one additional paper to be selected from the specialization group offered by the candidate in each of these semesters.  In the IVth semester, the candidate is required to write a dissertation which is of 200 marks including a viva-voce of 50 marks. The courses designed cover Theory Paper of 60 marks each plus 40 marks in each course assigned for home assignment and seminar paper presentations.  As per the new LL.M. syllabus which has come into force from July 2003, the following courses are offered:<\/span>  <\/span><\/p>\n
