\n\t1. Master of Arts (M.A.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\tProvided that the candidate having 50% marks in aggregate or 45% marks in the subject concerned in B.A. shall be eligible for admission to M.A. course in Music in the same discipline, he\/she has passed in B.A.<\/p>\n

\n\tBasis of Admission<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\tThe admission will be made purely on merit, except where otherwise mentioned, subject to the limitation of seats available and the reservation. The following are the eligibility conditions for admission to various courses, provided further that for the purpose of admission 0.5% and above marks should be considered equal to 1% marks (Notification No. 4-9\/94-HPU-Acad. dated 27-6-1995)<\/p>\n

\n\t2. Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\tM.Phil. is a full time regular course of study pursued by regular attendance in classes and seminars. A candidate seeking admission to the M.Phil course must have at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC\/ST) in the subject concerned at Master’s  level. The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for admission to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) shall be 50% (at per with Ph.D.). In case of SC\/ST candidates, qualifying marks in the Entrance Test shall be 45%.<\/p>\n

\n\t3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\tPh.D. is a full time regular course of study pursued by regular attendance in classes and seminars. A candidate seeking admission to the Ph. D. course must have at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC\/ST) in the subject concerned at Master’s  level. The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for admission shall be 50%.
