Profile

Dr. Sanjay Sharma received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from
Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India, in 2007 and his M.Tech. degree in
Power System from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, India,
in 2010. He completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical Engineering
from Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, India,
in December 2019.

Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the University Institute
of Technology (UIT), Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has extensive
research experience in various fields of Electrical Engineering, particularly
in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Network Planning, Micro Grids,
Optimization, GIS, and Machine Learning.

He worked on the project titled
“Development and Validation of Technology for Production of High Energy Density
from Rice Straw and Agri-Biomasses”
, funded by PSA, Government of India, and Sweden. He has also been awarded
a research project by HIMCOSTE.

Dr. Sharma has published 26 research papers in reputed
SCI/International/National journals and presented 18 papers in international
and national conferences. He has authored a book on Renewable Energy,
published by Wiley Publications.

He has been granted one patent, with another currently under progress.
He possesses over eight years of teaching experience at NITs and other
Government institutions.

He organized the International Conference SOCTA-2023, indexed in Scopus and
published by Springer. He has delivered expert lectures at various colleges
and universities across India and serves as a reviewer for several
international journals and conferences, including Elsevier, Springer, IEEE,
and Taylor & Francis.
